3. Donations

3.1 Processing

Donations are processed securely through our payment provider, Mollie B.V. We do not store your full payment details. A confirmation is sent by email once the donation is completed.

3.2 Tax deductibility

As an organisation recognised as being of public utility in Luxembourg, donations made to the Foundation may be tax-deductible for the donor under the conditions set out in the applicable Luxembourg legislation, in particular Article 109 of the Income Tax Law (Loi concernant l'impôt sur le revenu, "LIR"). Under the rules currently in force:

  • The total annual donations must amount to at least 120 EUR to be deductible.

  • The annual deduction may not exceed 20% of the donor's total net income, nor an absolute ceiling of 1,000,000 EUR.

  • Donations exceeding these limits may be carried forward to the two following tax years.

A tax certificate will be issued for eligible donations. These conditions are provided for information only and may change; donors are responsible for verifying their own tax situation. Up-to-date information is available from the Administration des contributions directes (impotsdirects.public.lu).

3.3 Refunds

Donations are in principle final. However, as permitted under the applicable legal provisions, a refund may be requested in the event of a genuine error (for example, an incorrect amount or a duplicate transaction). Refund requests should be sent to [email protected] within 30 days of the donation, stating the reference and the reason. Where a donation is refunded, any related tax certificate is voided and may no longer be used for tax purposes.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date indicates the latest revision. The version in force is the one published on this website at the time of your use or donation.

6. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Luxembourg law. Any dispute relating to their interpretation or performance falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
